LAHORE (21-08-26): The Institute of Biochemistry and Biotechnology of the University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore arranged concluding ceremony of “Week-long Capacity Building Training of Laboratory Staff” at City Campus Lahore.
UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Masood Rabbani presided over the concluding ceremony of the trainings and distributed certificates among participants while Dean Faculty Veterinary Science Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf, Dean Faculty of Bio-sciences Prof Dr Habib-Ur-Rehman and number of participants were present in the ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Masood Rabbani said that such trainings are necessary for learning innovative knowledge related to field and bring competencies in professional work of lab staff.
The objectives of the training were to enhancing lab staff knowledge, improving their skills and ensuring quality work of labs. During training of lab staff experts delivered their lectures on different topics related to laboratory hazards, lab safety guidelines, waste management, accident report, protective equipment, lab ethics, good lab practices, lab arrangements, maintenance cleaning & documentation, lab SOP`s, quality assurance procedures and assessment of learning outcomes etc.
