UVAS celebrated Jashn-e-Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) with religious zeal and fervor

LAHORE (25-08-26): The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore celebrated Jashn-e-Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Up on Him) at City Campus with religious zeal and fervor.

Students & Faculty performed recitation of the Holy Quran and naat khawani while a detailed speech delivered by UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Masood Rabbani, pray and a cake cutting ceremony also conducted on the occasion.

Earlier VC Prof Dr Masood Rabbani presided over the programe while Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf, Senior Tutor Prof Dr Yasin Tipu and number of faculty members, staff and students from different departments of UVAS were present on the occasion.

While addressing the audience, Prof Dr Masood Rabbani spoke about the greatness of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), saying that God sent Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) into this world as a mercy for all the worlds. He also recited the translation of the Quranic verse: “O Prophet! Indeed, we have sent you as a witness, a bearer of good tidings, a warner, one who invites to Allah by his command and a shining sun”. He said that the blessed life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) offers excellent guidance regarding every aspect of life showing us what we should practice and what we must avoid, in accordance with his explicit counsel. Dr Masood Rabbani also recited the message delivered by the Holy Prophet in his final sermon (Khutbah Hajjat-ul-Wida) for all of humanity that no arab holds superiority over a non-arab, nor a non-arab over an arab, nor a white person over a black person, nor a black person over a white person; rather the sole basis for superiority is on taqwa.
