LAHORE (11-05-26): The Department of Parasitology of the University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore in collaboration with Pakistan Society of Parasitology and Pakistan Science Foundation arranged a two-day workshop on “Bio-pesticides in Vector Control” on Monday in UVAS City Campus Lahore.
UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Masood Rabbani presided over the inaugural session of the workshop while Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf, Prof Dr Mian Abdul Hafeez, Dr Muhammad Oneeb and few participants were present.
Prof Dr Masood Rabbani appreciated the organizers for arranging this important workshop on sustainable vector control and highlighted the significance of bio- pesticides and innovative biological approaches in safeguarding public and animal health. He also emphasized the need to promote research-driven environmentally friendly solutions for effective vector and tick management.
Various aspects will be discussed during workshop related to vector-borne diseases, bio-pesticides, molecular & nano approaches, application & evaluation etc.
