2-day workshop on “Bio-pesticides in Vector Control” concludes at UVAS

LAHORE (12-05-26): The Department of Parasitology of the University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore in collaboration with Pakistan Society of Parasitology and Pakistan Science Foundation arranged a concluding ceremony of two-day workshop on “Bio-pesticides in Vector Control” held in City Campus Lahore.

UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Masood Rabbani presided over the concluding session of the workshop and he distributed certificates among participants and resource persons while Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf, Prof Dr Ali Ahmad Sheikh, Prof Dr Haroon Akbar, Dr Muhammad Oneeb and few participants & researchers were present.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Masood Rabbani appreciated the efforts of organizers for arranging this workshop on informative topic. He urged students to learn theoretical and practical work related to your fields & enhance practical competencies and excel in your field with full dedication. He said that it is very important for students who work on research projects in their field along with their studies to know about practical work in laboratories, equipment used there, ISO standards of the lab, quality control, quality assurance as well as various types of letter writing and financial management so that when they go for job interviews, they have a good understanding of practical and professional work else of their field.

Various aspects will be discussed during workshop related to vector-borne diseases, bio-pesticides, molecular & nano approaches, application & evaluation etc.
