UVAS newly elected office-bearers of Non-Teaching Staff Association (NTSA) sworn-in

LAHORE (23-09-26): The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore arranged an oath taking ceremony of newly-elected office-bearers of UVAS Non-Teaching Staff Association (NTSA) here in City Campus Lahore.

Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Masood Rabbani presided over the ceremony and administered oath to newly-elected office-bearers of the NTSA of the university. Member Provincial Assembly Mian Marghoob Ahmad and Focal Person to Chief Minister Punjab Mr Bilal Rizwan and Chief Organizer Lahore Division PMLN Mr Zeeshan Aslam Khan were the Guests of Honour of the oath taking ceremony while Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf, Dean Faculty of Biosciences Prof Dr Habib-Ur-Rehman and a large number of UVAS faculty and staff members were present.

The NTSA new office-bearers are including Syed Imran Haider Zaidi (President), Muhammad Amjad Khan (Senior Vice-President), Shahid Akhtar (Vice-President), Muhammad Usman Jawaid (General Secretary), Nasir Masih (joint Secretary), Shahid Aziz Butt (Secretary Finance), Amjad Mubarik (Secretary Information), Sufyan Rafique (Chairman) and Tabassum Ali (Vice-Chairman) were also present on the occasion.

While addressing the oath taking ceremony, Mian Marghoob Ahmad congratulated the NTSA new office-bearers and said serving God’s creation is an act that yields the greatest reward. He said may God grant the office-bearers the ability to honor the oath they have taken working with full of dedication and diligence for the legitimate demands and rights of employees and perform their duties in an exemplary manner.

Bilal Rizwan said that the Chief Minister of Punjab has appointed the UVAS Vice-Chancellor based on merit and he expressed hope that further revolutionary measures regarding the advancement and welfare of employees would be taken under the leadership of Prof Dr Masood Rabbani.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Masood Rabbani congratulated the NTSA new office-bearers and lauded their efforts & major role in the development of UVAS. He said UVAS has always given equal importance to the support/lower staff and their issues are addressed on priority basis. He said UVAS stand among the top ten university of Pakistan due to collective efforts of its staff. He mentioned that I never compromised on merit and always chooses the competent person for the best interest of the university. He said UVAS is also taking various steps for the welfare and progress of UVAS supportive staff and he also supported all employees’ welfare steps.

Imran Zaidi presented the agenda of the association for the welfare of the employees related to enhancing health & residential facilities, promotion of (clerical, veterinary, & lab staff), DPL staff conformation and he also demand for safety kits to labour staff to save them from accidents.
