2-Days training on “Building Competence for Compliance: PPRA Rules & PEEDA Act” complete at UVAS

LAHORE (25-09-26): The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore arranged a concluding ceremony of two days training on “Building Competence for Compliance Public Procurement Rules (PPRA) & Punjab Employees Efficiency and Accountability Act (PEEDA)” at UVAS City Campus Lahore.

UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Masood Rabbani presided over the concluding ceremony of the training and distributed certificates among participants while Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf, Registrar Sajjad Hyder and a large number of participants from different departments of UVAS and Livestock Department Punjab were present. Managing Director PPRA Ms Sahibzadi Wasimah Umar and Former Secretary S&GAD Siddique Akbar Minhas were the resource persons of the training.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Masood Rabbani said that it is essential to organize such training for administrative officers specifically those dealing with institutional procurement and cases of staff related to violating rules & regulations to familiarize them with PPRA rules and the PEDA Act.

During the two-day training, resource persons provided detailed insights to participants on various topics including the PPRA regulatory framework, formulation of effective procurement plans, application of eligibility and evaluation criteria, selection of appropriate procurement methods, the bid opening and evaluation process, effective contract management, professional resolution of complaints and disputes, an introduction to e-PADS, overview of the PEEDA Act (section-wise), recruitment and selection under public sector rules, code of conduct and employee responsibilities, the departmental inquiry process and show-cause notices, preparation of effective inquiry reports and various aspects related to appeals & reviews under the PEEDA Act.

 

World Pharmacist Day observed at UVAS

LAHORE (25-09-26): The Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (IPS) of the University of Veterinary and Animals Sciences Lahore arranged walk and seminar featured to mark the World Pharmacist Day here on Friday in City Campus Lahore. The aim of the day was to promote and advocate the role of pharmacists in improving health world over.

UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Masood Rabbani led the walk while Director Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (IPS) Dr Tahir Mehmood Khan a large number of students and faculty members participated. The walk started from the Vice-Chancellor Office and culminate in-front of main lawn after took a round of the city campus.
