Meanwhile, the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore arranged the first meeting on Healthy U Punjab, University Nutrition & Healthy Lifestyle Task Force.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Masood Rabbani chaired meeting while UN Global Nutrition Champion & Senior Corporate Professional/Representing Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Ms Saira Iftikhar, Prof Dr Habib-Ur Rehman, Prof Dr Yasin Tipu, Prof Dr Sanaullah Iqbal and DR Muhammad Oneeb were present in the meeting.
During meeting Ms Saira Iftikhar spoke about collaborative initiatives for promoting university nutrition, healthy Punjab, and healthy Lifestyle through the establishment of a task force in collaboration with UVAS. The Participants of meeting discussed opportunities for collaboration between SUN and UVAS, with emphasis on establishing a University Nutrition and Healthy Lifestyle Task Force to promote nutrition awareness, healthy food environments, balanced dietary practices and lifestyle improvement among university students.
