UVAS strongly condemns war crimes committed by Israel in Gaza

LAHORE (11-04-25): The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore arranged walk to express solidarity with the innocent people of Palestine and condemn the terrorism and war crimes committed by Israel in Gaza.

UVAS Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Muhammad Younus (DLA.I, T.I) led the walk in city campus while Deans, Director Chairman/Chairpersons and a large number of students from different departments of UVAS, faculty members and administrative staff participated. Walk started form Vice-Chancellor office and culminated infront of Main Lawn after taking round of City Campus.

The walk participants expressed their anger over what they see as war crimes and human rights violations in the Palestinian territories, which are illegally occupied by Israel. They chanted slogans condemning Israel’s aggression and carried Palestinian flags and banners to show support for the Palestinian cause.

Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Younus called for Israel to vacate the illegally occupied territory and urged Islamic countries to use their influence to prevent the killing of innocent Palestinians and seek a lasting resolution to the issue. He also praised the bravery of the Palestinian people in the face of Israeli airstrikes and missiles hit hospitals, schools and residences. He expressed the hope that their sacrifices would lead to the liberation of Palestinian land from Israeli occupation. Prof Dr Younus said that we stand always side by side with Palestinian in their struggle for liberty from militant Israel.

Similar walk/peaceful protest rally also held in other campuses of UVAS to express solidarity with the people of Palestine including its Ravi Campus Pattoki, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (CVAS) Jhang, Khan Bahadur Chaudhary Mushtaq Ahmad College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (KBCMA-CVAS) Narowal and Para-Veterinary Institute Karor Lal-Eason Layyah.
