UVAS inks MoU with The Samsons Agri Farms to address challenges, enhance education & research linkages

LAHORE (18-04-25): The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore signed a memorandum of understanding with The Samsons Agri Farm (SAF) to address challenges faced by the Sampson Agri Farm through expert consultancy services, enhance education & research linkages.

UVAS Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Muhammad Younus (DLA.I, T.I) and Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Aneela Zameer Durrani from UVAS while Senior Business Consultant/Director Mr Shahid Ahmad Khan and Chief Finance Officer Mr Abid Shikor from Samsons Agri Farm signed the MoU in the ceremony held at UVAS City Campus. Few senior faculty members and Administrative Officers were present in the ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Muhammad Younus said that this agreement would be beneficial for both organizations especially for the professional development of SAF staff and students to learn about hands-on practical training and professional experiences.

Under the MoU, UVAS will provide qualified faculty members/experts who will deliver consultancy services/expert advice & recommendations to address specific challenges/issues faced by the Sampson Agri Farm. UVAS will offer research and development support and both parties will jointly arrange workshops, training sessions and seminar in near future. UVAS will provide the necessary resources, facilities and services including laboratories, equipment, data, disease control through testing, analysis, screening, breed improvement, animal nutrition, analysis, screening of large and small ruminants etc. SAF will share relevant data, documents, information necessary for the completion of the consultancy services and offer reasonable access to industry facilities, operations and key personnel for the consultation.
