LAHORE (10-12-25): The Department of Pathology of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore arranged a seminar on Nobel Prize Day to celebrating the 2025 nobel discoveries in the fields of physiology or medicine, chemistry and physics here at City Campus Lahore. Nobel Prize is associated with the name of Alfred Nobel a Swedish Chemist, Engineer and Inventor of Dynamite.
Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Muhammad Younus (DLA.I, T.I) presided over the seminar while Renowned Pathologist Dr Shakeel Khan and Director French Culture Center Lahore Mr Fabrice Disdier were the Guests of Honor.
Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Aneela Zameer Durrani, Chairman Department of Pathology Prof Dr Yasin Tipu, Prof Dr Mati Ur Rehman Khan Niazi, Dr Muhammad Suleman and a number of faculty members and students were present. Prof Dr Haroon Akbar, Dr Abdul Waheed Anwar from University of Engineering and Technology Lahore and Dr Qasim Raza were the resource persons of seminar.
While addressing the seminar, Prof Dr Muhammad Younus lauded the organizer of the seminar to arrange on informative topic those who got nobel prizes through their invention & research works in past. He said UVAS trained-manpower is working actively and playing their vital role for the uplift of socio economic development of country by utilizing their skills and knowledge.
Dr Shakeel Khan advised students that time management (punctuality) and hard-working is the only key to success of life and must follow on it.
Earlier, Dr Haroon Akbar gave presentation on physiology/medicine nobel 2025. He talked about Simon Sakaguchi regulatory T cells, support T cells, immunologic self-tolerance and Dr Qasim Raza spoke about Nobel Prize in chemistry 2025, metal-organic frameworks building the future of materials while Dr Abdul Waheed Anwar talked on physics.
