LAHORE (23-10-26): Food and Nutrition Society of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore in collaboration with Pink Ribbon Organization arranged Pink Horizon, awareness walk and a seminar on Breast Cancer to promote awareness, early detection, and the importance of breast health.
UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Masood Rabbani led the walk while Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf, Prof Dr Sana Ullah Iqbal and number of students & faculty members were participated.
Later in the seminar Former Head of Department Hameed Latif Hospital Dietitian Amama Sadia was the guest speaker who shared valuable insights on breast cancer awareness. She spoke about role of diet & lifestyle in woman with breast cancer, prevention, management, diagnosis and treatment of the breast cancer.
The objective of the seminar was to create awareness among the students, faculty members and general population especially woman who are prone to this virulent disease and also convey information to public regarding diagnostics method & treatment techniques, highlight the importance of early diagnosis and management of the patient etc.
