LAHORE (19-07-24): Provincial Minister for Agriculture & Livestock Punjab Mr Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani along with Secretary Livestock & Dairy Development Department Punjab Muhammad Masoud Anwar paid a visit to University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore`s Ravi Campus Pattoki called on Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Muhammad Younus (DLA.I, T.I).
Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani visited various sections of Prof Dr Muhammad Akram educational Complex including library and Auditorium. While visiting A-Block, Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani planted a sapling in front of Akram Complex for the promotion of greenery at Ravi Campus.
Meanwhile a detailed meeting was held at Conference room of Akram Complex Minister Livestock presided over the meeting while Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Muhammad Younus, UVAS Dean Faculty of Animal Production & Technology Prof Dr Saima, Principle Officer Ravi Campus Prof Dr Arshad Javid and number of faculty members were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani said UVAS Ravi Campus imparting best education and research knowledge to students and its Training Center for Biologic Production (TCBP) will play a vital role to curb foot and mouth livestock disease. He said high quality vaccination is the only way to prevent diseases and livestock farming community & students would get maximum benefit from UVAS facilities like TCBP.
Prof Dr Muhammad Younus said UVAS always working for the development of livestock sector and its facilities like Training Center for Biologic Production would play a vital role to save livestock sector from deadly diseases. He also said in future UVAS will start new degree programmes and increasing the number of students in its all campuses.
Earlier Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani along with other dignitaries visited different departments of Ravi Campus including Central Laboratory Complex (CLC), Higher Education Commission Smart Classrooms, Animal Clinics and Training Center for Biologic Production (TCBP). Minister Livestock reviewed UVAS vaccine production & labs facilities, disease diagnosis and treatment services for the welfare of animal to save their life from different diseases.
