LAHORE (08-01-26): UVAS Qirat and Naat Society arranged a seminar to celebrated birthday of Hazrat Ali (RA) with aims to explore the life, teachings and legacy of Hazrat Ali (AS) offering insights into his wisdom, leadership and values at UVAS City Campus Lahore.
UVAS Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Muhammad Younus (DLA.I, T.I) presided over the seminar while Chairman Education University Prof Dr Muhammad Shahbaz Manj was the Guest of Honor. Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Aneela Zameer Durrani, Convener Qirat and Naat Society Dr Sarwar Siddique and number of students and faculty members were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Muhammad Younus shed light on various aspects related to the life of Hazrat Ali (AS), in which he mentioned in detail Hazrat Ali’s courage, bravery, understanding and insight, knowledge and wisdom, military leadership, his role as the fourth Caliph of Muslims and his love for the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). He spoke about the glory of Hazrat Ali and his love for the beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), he said that he was the closest companion of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and was always ready to sacrifice his life for his love. He also shared Hazrat Ali was also the first to believe in the Holy Prophet (PBUH). He said that Hazrat Ali was born in the Kaaba and the first face he saw after birth was that of our beloved Holy Prophet (PBUH). The Holy Prophet also named him Ali, while Hazrat Ali’s mother named him Haider Karar. He narrated a hadith of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) and said that our Prophet said that Ali is the leader of the pious and the Imam of the pious. He also said that the aim of the seminar was to familiarize young students with knowledge related to the glory, virtues and sacrifices made by Hazrat Ali for the uplift of Islam so that students can learn from his life and become excellent role models. At the seminar, students recited the Holy Quran and Dr Muhammad Sarwar Siddique also presented a Manqabat and a cake was also cut to celebrate the birth of Hazrat Ali.
Prof Dr Muhammad Shahbaz Manj describe the glory of Hazrat Ali, referred to some poems from poet of the East Dr Allama Iqbal from his book Israr Khudi, in which he described the glory of Hazrat Ali in such a way that for the people of love, faith is only in Ali and I am alive because of the love of your family and if I have any identity, it is only from this family (Ahl-e-Bait). He said that due to Hazret Ali bravery and courage, the Islamic nation has been given great glory and your personality is the gateway to knowledge through which the entire world is gaining enlightenment and achieving progress.
