LAHORE (22-01-26): Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) selected the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore as lead university for thematic area of One Health/Public Health under Establishment of Research & Development Clusters/Centers (Without Brick and Mortar) initiative of PHEC through ODP scheme financial year 2025-26 to promote collaborative, multi-disciplinary and solution driven research aligned with national and provincial priorities.
Four institutions including Faisalabad Medical University, University of Sargodha, Lahore University of Biological & Applied Sciences and Rashid Latif Khan University Lahore have been selected as members. UVAS as lead university will contribute to advancing cutting-edge research, innovation and inter university collaboration in the field of one health/public health aligned with national development priorities. UVAS Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Muhammad Younus (DLA.I, T.I) congratulated the faculty, staff and stakeholders on this achievement and expressed hope that the initiative of the Punjab Higher Education Commission under the leadership of the UVAS will be successfully completed.
