LAHORE (26-11-25): The Department of Pathology of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore arranged a seminar to observe “International Pathology Day” with the theme of “Pathologist at the Heart of Every Diagnosis” here at City Campus Lahore.
Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Muhammad Younus (DLA.I, T.I) presided over the seminar while Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Aneela Zameer Durrani, Prof Dr Mati ur Rehman Khan Niazi, Prof Dr Yasin Tipu, Dr Muhammad Suleman and a number of faculty members & students attended.
While addressing the seminar, Prof Dr Muhammad Younus congratulated all pathologists on the occasion of World Pathology Day and said that without diagnosis of a disease, treatment is not possible therefore pathology is of utmost importance in terms of diagnosis of the disease. He appreciated the services of the renowned professor of the Department of Pathology especially Prof Dr Zafar Iqbal Chaudhry (late) and other pathologists from whom the students got to learn a lot. He advised the students to play an exemplary role in the welfare and prosperity of the society with their knowledge and actions. Later a cake was also cut after theseminar.
The purpose of celebrating the day was to highlight the importance of Pathology among the public because treatment of a patient is not possible without diagnosing his illness.
