Focal Person of Prime Minister’s Youth Programme in Punjab Fahad Shahbaz visits UVAS

LAHORE (14-02-25): The Focal Person of Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP) in Punjab Mr Fahad Shahbaz paid a visit to the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore and called on Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Muhammad Younus (DLA.I, T.I) on Thursday at City Campus.

Meanwhile a meeting was held and Prof Dr Muhammad Younus chaired meeting while Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Aneela Zameer Durrani, Dean Faculty of Bio-sciences Prof Dr Habib-ur-Rehman, Dean Faculty of Life Sciences Business Management Prof Dr Muhammad Azam, Registrar Sajjad Hyder and senior UVAS professors were present.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Muhammad Younus spoke about UVAS different campuses, faculties, degree programme, student strength and historic importance of UVAS for the promoting of veterinary profession in Pakistan.

While addressing the meeting, Mr Fahad Shahbaz spoke about different initiatives including national innovation award, talent hunt youth sports league, youth development centers and green youth movement taken Government of Pakistan to engage, empower and educate youth in a meaningful and productive manner. He said students and teachers can play their vital role to curb the climate change issues under green youth movement. He also said Pakistan is our country and youth must contribute their role for the development of country by utilizing their knowledge and skills.

Prof Dr Aneela Zameer durrani said that teacher responsibilities are increasing for enhancing innovative knowledge & skills in students in this digital era.

Later the Mr Fahad Shahbaz along with UVAS faculty members visited various departments of City Campus including Veterinary Academy, Quality Operation Lab, BSL-3 Lab, Pet Centre and Sports Complex etc.
