Biography
Dr. Sanan Raza is working as a lecturer in the Department of Theriogenology, College of Veterinary and animal sciences, Jhang, Pakistan. He graduated in Veterinary Medicine (2007-2012: UVAS, Jhang Campus, Pakistan) and holds Gold Medal (DVM), M.Phil. (OMÜ), Ph.D. (ADÜ). After graduation, he joined the renowned Baig stud farm as a farm manager. He was appointed as a lecturer in the Theriogenology dept. (2012: CVAS, Jhang) and during the period from 2012 to 2016 he served as a consultant at various stud farms. He is a permanent member of the board of veterinary consultants in the Jockey Club of Pakistan since 2013. He has experience in molecular detection and diagnosis of brucellosis using rPCR (Friedrich-Loffler-Institute, Germany, 2015). After winning, a Turkish Government scholarship for Mphil leading to Ph.D. studies; he has worked in the area of oxidative stress in pregnant animals (OMÜ, Turkey) during his master’s degree, and cryopreservation of semen under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Melih Askoy (ADÜ, Turkey). During his Ph.D. studies, he also served as a teaching assistant and researcher in a project related to animal reproduction. He has expertise in the field of Animal Reproduction, semen cryoprocessing, ultrasonography, and laparoscopy. Currently, he has responsibilities for teaching different courses of Theriogenology and focal person extension services.
