Biography
Mr. Mubashar Ali has been a dedicated faculty member of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) since 2017, currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Animal Nutrition. He earned his DVM degree from UVAS in 2017 and subsequently completed his M.Phil. under the distinguished supervision of Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha.
His primary research interests lie in Ruminant and Canine Nutrition, with a specialized focus on Holstein Frisian calf management, encompassing early weaning strategies, rumen development, and ensuring healthy growth trajectories. His extensive work also includes post-weaning, pre-pubertal, and post-pubertal heifer nutrition, beef animal fattening protocols, and the evaluation of alternative feed resources for ruminants.
Expanding his expertise in companion animal health, Mr. Ali has a growing research interest in Tailored Nutrition for Cats. He is particularly focused on formulating species-specific diets that address unique physiological needs across different life stages, breeds, and health statuses to optimize feline well-being. As an educator, Mr. Ali is actively involved in teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate practical classes. He is a member of several prestigious professional bodies, including the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council and the Nutritionists Association of Pakistan. His academic pursuits have been further enriched by a scholarship at Selçuk University, Konya, Turkey, under the Mevlana Exchange Programme. Complementing his practical experience, Mr. Ali also holds a certificate in Dairy Management from USAID-TRDFP.
