Biography

Dr. Sanaullah Sattar is a distinguished zoologist and researcher, presently serving as an Assistant Professor of Zoology at the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Ravi Campus, Pattoki. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Zoology from UVAS, Lahore, with a research focus on the corrosive effects of sulfate-reducing bacteria on mild and carbon steels, contributing significantly to the fields of environmental microbiology and industrial corrosion. Dr. Sattar holds an M.Phil. and M.Sc. in Zoology from UVAS, and a B.Sc. from the University of the Punjab, Lahore, establishing a strong foundational background in biological sciences. His research expertise spans multiple interdisciplinary domains including environmental microbiology, microbial biotechnology, bio-pesticides, and eco-friendly industrial processes. His scholarly contributions have been published in reputable, peer-reviewed journals, addressing critical topics such as microbial corrosion, fungal biodegradation, green catalysts, and sustainable agricultural practices. Prior to his current academic appointment, Dr. Sattar served as a Research Assistant at UVAS Lahore from 2019 to 2021, where he was actively involved in laboratory investigations and collaborative research projects. At UVAS Ravi Campus, he is engaged in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, currently instructing the course “Zoogeography and Paleontology” and supervising student research in the fields of fisheries science, microbiology, and environmental sciences. Dr. Sattar is deeply committed to interdisciplinary and application-oriented research, with a particular interest in developing biotechnological interventions for environmental sustainability and industrial microbiology. His academic trajectory reflects a consistent dedication to advancing scientific knowledge and addressing contemporary ecological and industrial challenges through innovative research.
