Visiting Lecturer
Dr. Hamza Rasheed is working as a visiting lecturer in the Department of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Veterinary Science, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore. He did his graduation in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from UVAS in 2021 and completed his MPhil in Clinical Medicine in 2023, with a research focus on the “Clinico-molecular investigation of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus isolated from equine respiratory tract infections.” During his Mphil he worked as Research Assistant in a PARC project (ALP-AS-042) entitled “Mechanistic study of MRSA from Bovine and occupational worker and its application in field condition”. He also worked in a PHEC project (PHEC/ARA/PIRCA/20150/4) focusing on the “Characterization of pathogenic S. aureus along with the development of common polyvalent S. aureus vaccine”. Currently, he is a PhD candidate in the same discipline at UVAS. His research expertise encompasses Antimicrobial Resistance, Mastitis, and Resistance Modulation Strategies. He is actively engaged in teaching, clinical, and research activities within the department. His primary responsibilities include instructing undergraduate courses in Veterinary Medicine, managing clinical cases at the Teaching Hospital UVAS Ravi Campus Pattoki, and at the Outdoor Hospital UVAS Lahore.
