Biography

Dr. Abdul Rehman is working as lecturer in the Department of Theriogenology. He is engaged with the Department since September 2014. He graduated as DVM (2012). He pursued his M.Phil in subject of Theriogenology (UVAS) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mian Abdul Sattar. His research work during M.Phil was on “Effect of Butylated Hydroxytoluene (BHT) on Beetal Buck Semen following Cryopreservation”. Dr. Abdul Rehman earned his PhD from University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences Lahore, Pakistan in 2021 under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mian Abdul Sattar. Resach title of Dr. Rehman was “Use of inhibin immunization as a strategy to enhance reproductive efficiency in Beetle goats. He is member of Society for Animal Reproduction of Pakistan (SARP), and Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council (PVMC). His main responsibilities are teaching of Theriogenology courses, clinical case handling, research and farm extension services. He has been part of organizing committees of many national/international conferences, workshops and seminars.

  • Development of suitable freezing protocol for buck semen cryopreservation
  • To introduce Modern technology of Artificial insemination in goats
  • Ultrasonography in caprines and bovines.
