LAHORE (28-10-25): The Department of Environmental Sciences, Society for Conservation of Environment and Nature (SCEN), Green Youth Movement (GYM) club and Senior Tutor Office of the University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore in collaboration with Environment Protection and Climate Change Department arranged an awareness seminar and training session on Climate and Smog titled “In the Name of Smog: A New Era of Climate Action with Green Credits” at City Campus Lahore.
Team leader, Punjab Green Credit Program Ms Rizwana Anjum was the guest speaker and she shared her valuable insights on combating smog, promoting sustainable practices and advancing green economic opportunities.
Earlier Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Aneela Zameer Durrani chaired the oath-taking ceremony and administered oath to the new office-bearers of the Society for Conservation of Environment and Nature (SCEN). She also encouraged the students and advised them to work with full of dedication for the promotion of greenery to combat pollution for the betterment of society. Dr Fariha Arooj and a number of faculty members and students were attended the seminar.
The objectives of the seminar were to highlighted the growing challenges of air pollution and explore innovative environmental solutions, including the transformative role of green credits in climate action.
Later Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Aneela Zameer Durrani also chaired another oath-taking ceremony and administered oath to the new office-bearers of UVAS Scouts Club.
