UVAS celebrated birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (صل اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) with religious zeal and fervor as part of Ashra Rehmat-ul-Lil-Alameen in all campuses

LAHORE (05-09-25): The Qirat and Naat Society of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore organized Mehfil Jashne Eid Milad-un-Nabi (ﷺ) in connection with Ashra Rehmat-ul-Lil-Alameen to pay respect to Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) and highlight his life and teachings at City Campus.

Students & staff member performed recitation of the Holy Quran and naat khawani while a naat and a detailed speech presented by UVAS Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Muhammad Younus (DLA.I, T.I).

Earlier Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Younus presided over the programme while Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Aneela Zameer Durrani, Senior Tutor Prof Dr Yasin Tipu, Convener Qirat and Naat Society Dr Muhammad Sarwar Siddique, Registrar Sajjad Hyder and number of students and faculty members were present on the occasion.

While addressing the audience, Prof Dr Muhammad Younus spoke about the greatness of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) , saying that God sent Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) into this world as a mercy for all the worlds and his life was an embodiment of obedience to God, justice, compassion and love for humanity. He also said that love for the Holy Prophet is part of our faith. He said that the holy life of the Holy Prophet gives us the best guidance not only in faith and worship but also in all aspects of life. He said that the life and exemplary conduct of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) is a beacon of light for the entire Bani Nuh humanity and from his holy life we ​​learn lessons of compassion, tolerance, courage, wisdom, love, justice, fairness and mercy. He also urged the attendees to follow the teachings of the Prophet (peace be upon him). He also spoke about the love of the Holy Prophet for his companions and the sacrifices made for the uplift of Islam. He also made a detailed mention of saints like Hazrat Jalaluddin Rumi, Shah Shams Tabriz, Dr Allama Iqbal, Baba Bulleh Shah, who wrote odes and poems in the praise of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) . Meanwhile a special prayer was conducted by Dr Muhammad Sarwar Siddique for the isaal-e-sawaab of deceased kith and Kin of UVAS employees. A cake was also cut at the end of the ceremony.

Birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) were also held in other campuses of UVAS including Ravi Campus Pattoki, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (CVAS) Jhang, Khan Bahadur Chaudhary Mushtaq Ahmad College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (KBCMA-CVAS) Narowal and Para-Veterinary Institute Karor Lal-Eason Layyah.
