LAHORE (26-08-25): The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore signed a memorandum of understanding with Faizan Global Relief Foundation (FGRF) to promote environmental sustainability through a structured tree plantation initiative under FGRF Green Pakistan Campaign to protect and betterment of the environment.
Dean Faculty of Life Sciences Business Management Prof Dr Rana Muhammad Ayyub and Head of Department FGRF Muhammad Shahid Attari signed the MoU in the ceremony held at UVAS City Campus while Registrar Sajjad Hyder, Prof Dr Mati Ur Rehman Khan Niazi and few officials were present. Meanwhile Prof Dr Muhammad Ayyub along with other dignitaries planted sapling in front of Vice-Chancellor Office for the promotion of greenery in UVAS.
Under the MoU, FGRF will provide 350 saplings in the year for plantation at UVAS City Campus while UVAS will facilitate in the plantation, maintenance and protection of all saplings grow bag within its premises or designated plantation sites. UVAS will also take responsibilities for digging pits, watering and other administrative arrangements necessary for the plantation and survival of the plants.
