LAHORE (29-04-25): The Vets Care Club of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore in connection with World Veterinary Day arranged “Veterinary Joint Venture 2025” with the theme “Animal Health Takes a Team” here at UVAS City Campus.
UVAS Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Muhammad Younus (DLA.I, T.I) presided over the concluding session of programme while Animal Husbandry Commissioner Dr Muhammad Akram, Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Aneela Zameer Durrani, Animal Health Manager Brook Pakistan Dr Javaid Khan, Public Health Specialist National Institute of Health Dr Ayesha Farooq, Chairman Amanat Dairy Feed Javid Iqbal, Regional Sales Manager Alltech Dr Ijaz were the panelist.
While addressing the audience, Prof Dr Muhammad Younus said that teachers and health care workers are not officer they always serving for the betterment of society by utilizing their knowledge & skills. He also lauded the efforts of Vets Care Club team to arranged penal discussion on informative topic for the learning of young veterinarian.
Dr Ayesha Farooq said that doctors and veterinarian both can play a vital role for the prevention of zoonotic diseases and save animals and human from deadly diseases.
The aims of the programme were to build strong linkages between academia & industry and providing different opportunities of learning about practical work in public and private sectors to DVM students.
The panelist of the joint venture highlighted various aspects related to the role of veterinarian as essential health workers, significance of animal welfare and different issues/challenges of livestock sector.
