UVAS arranges Pets Gala & Panchi Mela

LAHORE (24-02-25): Vets Care Club of the University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore organised 4th Pets Gala & Panchi Mela here in City Campus Main Lawn.

UVAS Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Muhammad Younus (DLA.I, T.I) along with Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Aneela Zameer Durrani, Chairman Amanat Dairy Feed Javid Iqbal and UVAS Associate Prof (Retired) Dr Syed Saleem Ahmad inaugurated the Pets Gala & Panchi Mela while a large number of faculty members and students were present.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Muhammad Younus appreciated the efforts of students who arranged this gala in befitting manners at City Campus and thanked pets lover those who brought their pet and bird to make pets gala successful.

The beautiful birds like pet parrot, pheasant various kinds of colorful parrots and different species of dog, cats & rabbit brought in the Pets Gala & Panchi Mela. Students & children saw the beautiful birds and captured their pictures with the birds & pets. Meanwhile beauty contest also arranged on the occasion and at the end of event shield were distributed among pets owners winners of beauty contest. A large number of students thronged at the Pets Gala & Panchi Mela. At the end of the event shields distributed among the pet owners and sponsors by Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Younus.

UVAS arranged an awareness & prevention seminar on thalassemia

UVAS Blood Donor Society of the University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore in collaboration with Kashif Iqbal Thalassemia Care Center arranged an awareness & prevention seminar on Thalassemia at City Campus.

Mr Asif Hameed Butt and Asma Asif delivered an informative lecture regarding awareness & prevention of thalassemia disease to UVAS students. UVAS Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Muhammad Younus (DLA.I, T.I) along with Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Aneela Zameer Durrani attended seminar while number of students were also present. Meanwhile a free thalassemia screening camp for faculty, students and staff arranged at UVAS.

Speaking on the occasion Prof Dr Muhammad Younus lauded the efforts of Mr Asif Hameed Butt and Asma Asif for the noble cause to help thalassemia patient in arranging blood.
