LAHORE (13-09-24): The Faculty of Veterinary Science of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission arranged a five-days “MPhil/PhD Supervisors Training (Phase-II)” at the City Campus.
UVAS Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Muhammad Younus (DLA.I, T.I) presided over the concluding session of the training and distributed certificates among the resource persons, master trainers and participants while Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Aneela Zameer Durrani, Dean Faculty of Biosciences Prof Dr Habib-ur-Rehman, Dean Faculty of Life Sciences Business Management Prof Dr Muhammad Azam, Dean Faculty of Animal Production & Technology Prof Dr Saima, Principal Officer Ravi Campus Pattoki Prof Dr Arshad Javid, Chairperson Center for Educational & policy Administration Dr Rahat Naseer and a large number of faculty members from City Campus, Ravi Campus Pattoki, KBCMA CVAS-Narowal and CVAS Jhang were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Muhammad Younus said that it is the best opportunity for faculty members to learn about new knowledge & methodologies to enhancing teaching skills. He urged on the importance of implementation, migration, devotion and full of dedication in work to successfully complete impossible task and responsibilities in the professional life. He said such trainings are necessary to learn about knowledge and experience from each other’s. He also lauded the Training Chief Organizer Prof Dr Aneela Zameer Durrani to successfully conduct this training in befitting manners at UVAS.
Prof Dr Aneela Zameer Durrani presented vote of thanks and she thanked all the participants, resource persons and supportive staff for successful completion of this training.
Various aspects have been discussed during training related to role, responsibilities and expectations of supervising, keeping research on track monitoring progress, supporting candidate wellbeing professional & career development, building effective and trusting relationship, supporting candidates in writing and publication etc.
Earlier UVAS, Center for Education Policy and Administration (CEPA) completed another training (Cohort III) under “Continuing Faculty Development Program” in City Campus UVAS, Lahore.
While addressing the audience Prof Dr Muhammad Younus highlighted the importance of continues development of faculty and appreciated the efforts of Chairperson (CEPA) Dr Rahat Naseer. Dean FVS Prof Dr Aneela Zameer Durrani emphasized on learning new approaches in higher education.
Meanwhile UVAS faculty members arranged a special prayer for the development of university and strengthen cooperation & unity and a cake cutting ceremony to standing unite and emerge stronger, Together we reaffirm our commitment to excellence and integrity as we move forward.
